B. canadensis digital portrait by Sainte-Vincient B. canadensis digital portrait by Sainte-Vincient
An updated version of the B. canadensis model's head and neck. I've improved the polys in the beak area (a technical thing that smooths out the look of things) and edited the nares. The tissue in the orbit has been drastically edited (a huge pain in the keester). The external auditory meatus has also been edited extensively. Things are looking much, much better I think.
Edit: The contours in the neck have been improved to show muscle and tendon boundaries. Colour has been added with lamps; this is a female.

I would so love to try zBrush. It looks totally awesome from the reading I've done... But I'm big on using open source stuff (mostly because I'm a starving artiste and think that tools like this should be available to those of us that can't afford to hork up 600 bucks a whack) so at this point in time I'm using Blender 2.48 (really need to update to 2.49 and can't wait to see what they do with 2.5). I have some issues with it (possibly because I just don't have enough power in my machine)like the multirez sculpting seems to take up a lot of memory and gets realllly slow. I'm not a digital artist for the most part and really just playing around seeing what's possible so maybe I just don't know what I'm doing. =)
thanx 4 the interest. :handshake:

U have my utter respect!

Zounds i love your deep appreciation of the anatomy and how it impacts the visuals. :)

I'd love to see you animate this. Maybe make a crack at the Spinosaur.

Thanx! I try. =)
Animation will come eventually. And so will theropods, probably Suchomimus before Spinosaurus, but if there's enough of a call for it you can bet it'll get done. =)
